If you are into this kind of show you may find the performances fantastic, especially if you are an Anthony Hopkins fan, whose character is really compelling; talk of masterful acting. If you are a Stephen King fan, then The Outsider should probably be on your watch list because this adaptation of the book does not fail to deliver the writer’s usual dose of dark mystery, spookiness and grit. It’s made up of a solid cast which includes Jason Bateman Ben Mendelsohn, Cynthia Erivo, Bill Camp, Mare Winningham, Paddy Considine, Julianne Nicholson, Yul Vázquez, Jeremy Bobb and Marc Menchaca. The story starts out as a murder mystery which seems like a clear cut crime series. But this is a Stephen King adaptation and the fun starts when the supernatural elements start to kick in. But even if you are not a fan of Stephen King you may still enjoy it.
The movie is based on DC Comic characters and features Zachary Levi as the lead actor. Shazam is a superhero movie about a teenage boy who can transform into a superhero s. His mission is to defeat the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana. Zachary Levi plays the superhero character. Now, normally Levi wouldn’t be the natural pick to play a superhero but his childlike innocence (in the movie) makes him the perfect fit. If you have watched Chuck (the 2007 comedy-action-spy-drama in which he stared in) then you will see why he was cast in this production. There are so many references to the other DC movies that will pique your interest too. It’s a cheesy movie but with some good action scenes that will keep you occupied throughout.

The Rock plays an ex-military veteran, Will Sawyer, who is hired to work in security in a fancy brand new building in Hong Kong. While in Hong Kong with his family, like any other action hero character, Sawyer is minding his own business until trouble finds him. The whole movie centers on Sawyer fighting the bad guys and trying to save his family at the same time. There is no huge plot twist to this movie so don’t go in expecting some major life lessons.
