On his recent visit to Kenya, Vodafone Chief Executive Officer Nick Read toured the M-PESA Foundation Academy and the Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Safaricom’s work in the two areas demonstrates the company’s commitment towards reducing inequalities by addressing the needs of the society in which it operates. This, as explained in the 2019 Sustainable Business Report, is at the heart of what Safaricom does to stimulate economic and social transformation.

This week on Newsroom, we bring you highlights of Nick Read’s visit to the M-PESA Foundation Academy and the Kakuma Refugee Camp and what he made of the work Safaricom is doing in the two places.
